IGD offers bump test kit(s) to allow you to periodically test your gas detector alarms and your cause & effects. Furthermore, bump tests should be conducted in the same manner as you would a conventional fire system, in conjunction with fire drills.
Bump Test Gas Kit Contents:
- 50ppm Carbon Monoxide
- 1% Methane (CH4) (20% LEL)
- 18% Oxygen
- 4000ppm Carbon Dioxide
In addition to this, please note that bump testing is not a full calibration/service. It is only testing to make sure the detector is responding to gas, reaching its alarm levels, and working correctly. Here at IGD we offer technical calibration kits for a full system calibration, for trained IGD Engineers. The system must be calibrated every 6 months by a trained IGD engineer. We can offer a flexible service contract to best suit your needs.
